Minister of Public Works and Transport in the caretaker government, Ali Hamieh, tweeted: "Is it possible for the work of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport contractors to turn into removing accumulated waste and clearing it from the drainage channels on the highways? Is this its role? If it rains and the highway floods, who is responsible then? Is this the place to dispose of waste? And why has it not been removed from the road?"
