Today, Monday, the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, arrives in Jeddah for a visit to Saudi Arabia in response to an invitation from the Saudi King, Salman bin Abdulaziz. A diplomatic source in the capital Riyadh stated that the Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, will be among those welcoming the Emir of Qatar at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah. The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, received the Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, on the 26th of last month, who delivered an invitation from King Salman bin Abdulaziz for the Emir to visit the Kingdom. The source added that the Saudi and Qatari sides will hold a bilateral summit to discuss the situation in the Gulf region in light of the recent developments in international talks with Tehran regarding the Iranian nuclear file, as well as both countries' efforts to confront Israeli assaults on Palestinians in Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Damascus Gate area, and Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, in addition to the situation in Yemen and recent developments in the Afghan peace process.
