The King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Buraidah hosted the match between Saudi club Al-Raed and their guest club Al-Batin in the 18th round of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Professional League.
Al-Batin defeated the host team Al-Raed with a score of (2-1). The first half ended in a goalless draw, despite Al-Raed's dominant performance and attacking presence; however, accuracy and finishing eluded Rony Fernandez and his teammates. In the second half, Al-Raed player Aqil Balghith accidentally scored an own goal in the 47th minute, redirecting a cross from Fabio Abro into his own net with a left-footed shot. Al-Batin's second goal came from player Youssef Al-Muzayrib Al-Shammari in the 59th minute, taking advantage of a mistake by Balghith, as he beautifully connected with a cross from Saad Al-Khairi that hit the post and found the net. Al-Raed reduced the deficit with a goal from Ahmed Al-Zain in the 81st minute, scoring with a low left-footed shot to the right of the Al-Batin goalkeeper.
With this result, Al-Batin raises its points to 20, occupying the 12th position, while Al-Raed stays at 19 points, dropping to the 13th position in the Saudi Professional League standings.
