Traffic Control Room Announces Closed Mountain Roads

The Traffic Control Room has announced the currently closed mountain roads.

The National News Agency reported the Traffic Control Room providing information about the currently closed mountain roads, which are: the Deir al-Baydar Road, the Aenata - Cedar Road, the Kfarzebian - Hadath Baalbek Road, the Aaqoura - Hadath Baalbek Road, the Jurd Murbein - Hermel Road, and the Kfaria - Maasser al-Chouf Road.

It is worth noting that Lebanon is currently experiencing stormy weather, particularly in the morning and before noon, with cold and heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms, while snow is falling at altitudes between 1000m and 1100m in some areas of Baalbek. The temperatures are expected to drop and are as follows: along the coast between 8 and 13 degrees, in the Bekaa between 0 and 7 degrees, and at 1000m between 1 and 5 degrees. The winds are from the southwest at a strong speed of 80 km/h.

Rain is forecasted for Saturday, with snow expected to fall in the morning at 1200m and then at 1700m by night. The temperatures are expected to rise again, ranging as follows: along the coast between 9 and 17 degrees, in the Bekaa between 0 and 9 degrees, and at 1000m between 2 and 8 degrees. The winds will be active from the southwest, changing to very strong south to southeast winds on Saturday night into Sunday, particularly in the northern region at speeds of 100 km/h.
