Fifty Percent Salary Deduction for Al-Wahda Syrian Club Players

Al-Wahda Damascus drew 0-0 with its guest, Al-Hatteen Club, yesterday, Friday, in the Syrian Premier League, remaining in fifth place with 20 points.

The board of directors of Al-Wahda Club expressed its dissatisfaction with the performance of its first team in the local league. In an official statement published yesterday evening, Saturday, Al-Wahda announced: "The football management and the first team administration at Al-Wahda Sports Club decided to impose a penalty of a 50% deduction from the monthly salaries of the men's team players, based on the internal regulations governing the operations of the professional football team in the club, due to the decline in the team's technical performance in recent weeks." The statement continued: "The general manager of the first team and chairman of the board of directors of Al-Wahda Sports Club, Maher Al-Sayed, confirmed that the administration is committed to applying the principle of rewards and penalties, and that just as the administration provides bonuses in the case of wins, it will impose the necessary administrative and financial measures until the team returns to its normal state."
