The caretaker ministers of public health, Dr. Hamad Hassan, and information, Dr. Manal Abdel Samad Najd, are preparing to launch the national vaccination registration platform.
The National News Agency reported that the two ministers will launch the platform at 11 AM tomorrow, Thursday, at the Ministry of Health. The event will be attended by the head of the health committee, MP Dr. Assem Araji, committee members, the president's health adviser, Walid Khoury, the head of the national vaccination management committee, Dr. Abdul Rahman Bizri, and representatives from international and local partner organizations and associations.
Earlier, the public health minister, Hamad Hassan, announced from the Grand Serail this evening the commencement of the COVID-19 vaccination plan. The National News Agency quoted Hassan confirming that the vaccine will be free through the Ministry of Public Health, and there will be no financial charge to obtain it even at private vaccination centers. He noted that one of the goals of this campaign is to achieve high vaccination levels in the community, reaching around 80% by the end of 2021.
