Russian emergency services announced on Wednesday evening that a fire broke out in a building belonging to the Ministry of Defense in central Moscow, according to TASS news agency. Authorities extinguished the fire shortly after it started, with no reported injuries or fatalities. The Ministry of Defense stated: "At 19:30 (16:30 GMT), duty officers in one of the administrative buildings of the Ministry of Defense in Moscow detected smoke in the building. Firefighting teams and the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived at the scene of the fire," as reported by Interfax news agency.
