Social media users in Saudi Arabia shared videos showing floods cutting through streets and sweeping away cars in the Mahayel province of Asir Region. The governor of Mahayel, Mohammed bin Falah Al-Garqah, instructed the relevant authorities to open the roads for some isolated villages and to clear the debris left by the floods on the road between Mahayel and Abha, as well as in certain areas within the province.
The educational administration in Mahayel decided to suspend in-person classes in all schools based on reports from the National Center of Meteorology warning of rainfall in most cities and provinces of Asir.
