Wall Street Opens Steady Amid Debt Ceiling Talks

The major indices on Wall Street began trading on Monday with stability as markets await updates regarding legislator discussions on raising the U.S. debt ceiling. Shares of Micron fell after China banned its memory chips. The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined by 18.09 points, or 0.05%, to 33,408.54 points. The S&P 500 dropped by 1.20 points, or 0.03%, to 4,190.78 points. However, the Nasdaq Composite rose by 6.54 points, or 0.05%, to 12,664.44 points.
