Saudi Arabia and the Netherlands signed a memorandum of understanding on Thursday to collaborate in the development of green energy and hydrogen. During the Global Hydrogen Summit in Rotterdam, Saudi Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman stated that the Netherlands could become the main destination for transporting hydrogen extracted from renewable energy sources in Saudi Arabia to Europe. He added, "Rotterdam will be our hub in Europe. The Netherlands and Germany will be the 'natural partners' in green hydrogen trade." He continued, "You are establishing facilities on the ground, building storage sites and pipelines. You have a plan."
