## Libyan Parliament Votes to Withdraw Confidence from Fathi Bashagha's Government

The Libyan parliament voted today, Tuesday, to withdraw confidence from Prime Minister Fathi Bashagha and referred him for investigation. Finance Minister Osama Hamad has been tasked with managing the responsibilities of the Prime Minister's office alongside his role in the Ministry of Finance. Earlier sources indicated that Bashagha had sent a letter to the House of Representatives, informing them of his delegation of full powers to his deputy, Ali Al-Qatrani. The parliament appointed Bashagha to the position last year, but he was unable to enter the capital, Tripoli, to assume power from the Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, who refused to recognize his appointment.
