At least 20 people were killed and 29 others injured in a bus overturning accident in the Asir region, in the southwestern part of Saudi Arabia. The official Saudi news channel "Al-Ikhbariya" reported that the accident occurred at 4 PM on Monday in the Al-Shahar area of Asir.
The channel stated that most of the injured in the incident "suffer from burns due to the bus fire after the collision and are receiving the necessary care." According to initial estimates, the bus collided with the end of a bridge in the Al-Shahar area due to a "vehicle problem," as reported by "Al-Ikhbariya."
The bus was carrying passengers traveling from Khamis Mushait to Abha.
