Spanish club "Real Betis," competing in La Liga, announced on Wednesday the signing of Spanish midfielder Isco on a one-year free transfer. Sevilla had terminated the contract of the 31-year-old player after just four months with the team, following comments from then-coach Jorge Sampaoli that "the former Real Madrid player did not meet expectations." Isco, who has played 38 international matches, scored one goal in 19 appearances with Sevilla. He left Real Madrid in May of last year after nine years, during which he won 19 titles, including the Champions League five times, La Liga three times, and the Club World Cup four times.
