"Kiss" Crisis Threatens Exclusion of Real Madrid and Barcelona from Champions League

Spanish clubs participating in European competitions this season are facing a disaster that threatens their continuation in the tournaments. The quintet of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atlético, Real Sociedad, and Sevilla is competing in the Champions League this season, while Villarreal and Real Betis will play in the Europa League, and Osasuna in the Conference League. According to "Monte Carlo" radio, the secretary general of the Spanish Football Federation, Andreu Camps, condemned the government's intervention to remove president Luis Rubiales from his position. The French broadcast indicated that Camps is threatening the Spanish government before the European Union, which always demands the freedom and independence of local federations. Camps warned the Spanish government that if Rubiales is dismissed, it would result in the exclusion of La Liga clubs from participating in European competitions due to governmental interference. He requested UEFA to intervene now to defend Rubiales.
