The mother of Spanish football federation president Luis Rubiales, who began a hunger strike in support of her son last Monday, was transferred to a local hospital on Wednesday after feeling fatigued and under stress. Angeles Bejar had locked herself inside a church in her hometown of Motril, southern Spain, to protest her son's treatment amid the outcry over his kiss with Spanish national team player Jenni Hermoso following their World Cup victory, which led to his suspension by FIFA last Saturday. A priest, identifying himself as Father Antonio, told reporters without going into details that Bejar was taken to Santa Ana Hospital in Motril on Wednesday evening. Santa Ana Hospital did not confirm whether Bejar had been admitted.
