Inter Milan, who reached the Champions League final, announced the departure of defensive duo Milan Skriniar and Danilo D'Ambrosio, along with midfielder Roberto Gagliardini, following the expiration of their contracts with the Italian giant.
Skriniar, the 28-year-old captain of the Slovak national team, won one Serie A title, two Coppa Italia titles, and two Supercoppa Italiana titles during his six seasons with Inter. He played 246 matches with Inter and scored 11 goals, but he missed significant time last season due to injuries, sitting out over 20 matches across all competitions. Inter finished the season in third place. Reports suggest that Skriniar will join French champions Paris Saint-Germain.
The Italian club stated in a release: "Skriniar, who has been with Inter since the summer of 2017, was a key factor in Inter's exceptional development since returning to the Champions League in 2018."
D'Ambrosio, aged 34, will leave after approximately ten years at the club, having joined in January 2014. Meanwhile, 29-year-old Gagliardini will depart after arriving from Atalanta in 2017. Inter lost the Champions League final to Manchester City last month.
