In response to the invitation from French President Emmanuel Macron, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman heads the Saudi delegation participating in the summit "For a New Global Financial Pact" held in Paris. The Crown Prince presided over the official opening of the summit, which will continue on June 22-23, discussing the establishment of a new consensus for a more responsive, equitable, and inclusive global financial system to combat inequality, climate change issues, poverty, and biodiversity protection.
The summit also agreed on the best ways to address these challenges in poor and emerging developing countries. The Paris summit hopes to agree on a modern roadmap to unify efforts this year in preparation for the G20 summit in India and the annual meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, as well as the COP28 climate change summit in the UAE.
Attending the summit were Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, who held a series of meetings with global media to clarify the Kingdom's position, as well as Finance Minister Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan, Governor of the Public Investment Fund Yasser bin Othman Al-Rumayyan, and the Crown Prince's Secretary Dr. Bandar bin Obaid Al-Rashed.
