Zidane in Riyadh Soon and Possible Agreement with Saudi Arabia

Recently, there has been much talk about the association of French coach Zinedine Zidane with a coaching position in Saudi Arabia. On Wednesday, sports journalist Saud Al-Sarami revealed discussions between Al-Hilal Club and Zidane's agent to gauge the French legend's interest in leading the first football team, succeeding Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus.

On Thursday, sports journalist Talal Al-Otaibi confirmed that Zidane would be present in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia soon. Al-Otaibi wrote on his official account on the platform "X": "Confirmed... Coach Zidane will be present next week in Riyadh."

However, the French coach’s visit to Riyadh may not be solely for Al-Hilal but could be to negotiate leading the first football team for the French club Marseille. According to the newspaper "Foot Mercato," on Thursday, Zidane might agree to coach Marseille if Saudi Arabia successfully acquires the giant French club.

The newspaper noted that Zidane had previously declined the opportunity to coach Marseille due to his disbelief in the club's sports project, but he may reconsider this decision if a Saudi acquisition occurs. The discussions regarding Zidane coaching Marseille come at a time when the French club announced on Wednesday that they had hired Italian coach Gennaro Gattuso for one season.
