Secretary-General of the "Strong Lebanon" bloc, MP Ibrahim Kanaan, received a delegation from the United Nations at his residence in Al-Bayyada. The delegation included the Acting Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator for the United Nations and the Director of the World Food Program in Beirut, Abdullah Al-Wardat, and the Deputy Director of the World Food Program in Beirut, Su Kant. The delegation briefed Kanaan on UN projects in Lebanon, particularly regarding schools and humanitarian aid for Lebanese citizens, which has risen from 12,000 students at the start of the program in 2012 to 100,000 students currently. An overview of Lebanon’s economic and social conditions was also presented following the approval of the 2024 budget.
