The Ministry of Construction, Housing, and Municipalities in Iraq announced today, Thursday, the resumption of work on the Al-Musayyib - Al-Iskandariyah water project in Babil Governorate. A statement from the ministry indicated that "work on the Al-Musayyib - Al-Iskandariyah project has resumed with a designed capacity of (6000) cubic meters per hour in Babil Governorate."
The statement added that "the project, supervised by the General Directorate of Water under the ministry, is being built on an area of (40) dunams and is implemented according to the latest global specifications to provide potable water for more than (800) thousand residents of Al-Musayyib district and Al-Iskandariyah sub-district."
Furthermore, the statement noted that "the project experienced several stoppages due to delays by the previous executing company, and it has been assigned to another company with an implementation period of (900) days."
