Qatar News Agency reported that the Ministry of Finance stated, "The state budget achieved a surplus of 19.7 billion Qatari riyals (5.40 billion dollars) in the first quarter of this year." The ministry, in a briefing on Qatar's actual budget data for the first quarter, mentioned that "the total revenues for this quarter amounted to 68.6 billion Qatari riyals, of which 63.4 billion riyals were from oil and gas revenues, while non-oil revenues reached 5.2 billion riyals."
