The sixth round of the 64th Lebanese Football League will witness two top matches in its opening on Thursday. The leading team, Al-Najma, with a perfect score of 15 points, will face Racing Beirut, ranked fifth with eight points, at Rashid Karami Municipal Stadium in Tripoli at 4:00 PM. Meanwhile, Al-Ahed, the defending champion and second place with 12 points, will meet third-placed Al-Ansar, who has nine points, at Fouad Chehab Sports Complex in Jounieh at 4:30 PM.
On Saturday at 4:00 PM, two more matches will take place. In the first match, Tadamon Sour, ranked eighth with four points, will host Al-Sahlel, ranked seventh with six points, at Imam Sayyed Musa Al-Sadr Stadium in Ansar. Al-Sahlel suffered a heavy first defeat, losing five-nil to Al-Ahed in the previous round. In the second match, at Amin Abdul Noor Municipal Stadium in Bhamdoun, Hikma Beirut, ranked second from the bottom with three points from their first win in the fifth round against Tadamon Sour, will face Al-Bourj, ranked fourth with eight points, who has failed to win any of their last three matches.
The round will conclude on Sunday, October 1, with two matches starting at 4:00 PM. Al-Safaa, ranked sixth with six points, will meet Tripoli SC, ranked tenth with three points from three draws, at Fouad Chehab Sports Complex in Jounieh. Meanwhile, Imam Sayyed Musa Al-Sadr Stadium in Ansar will host a southern derby between Ahli Nabatiyeh, ranked ninth with four points from four draws, and Al-Shabab Al-Ghazieh, currently last with only one point from a draw.
