Ancelotti Plans an Unexpected Surprise Against City

Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti, manager of Real Madrid, is planning a surprising decision against Manchester City next Wednesday in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals. The first leg at the "Santiago Bernabéu" ended in a 3-3 draw.

According to the Spanish newspaper "AS," Ancelotti is considering starting Brazilian Éder Militão for the match against Manchester City, although he still questions the player's match fitness and rhythm. The newspaper noted that Ancelotti was asked three times during the press conference for the Mallorca match whether Militão would start or come off the bench, and if he was on the bench, would he get significant minutes in the second half.

However, Ancelotti did not provide a definitive answer to the journalists, but it is certain that Militão will not participate for a single minute, as he did against Athletic Bilbao, because the Italian coach sees today's match as a test for him to potentially start against Manchester City.

"AS" confirmed that Militão is in good condition, with a 200% fitness level, and is not at risk of a setback after recovering from a ligament injury. Ancelotti hopes that the central defensive duo for Real Madrid during this crucial part of the season will be Antonio Rüdiger and Militão, but only if the latter fully regains his form following his injury.
