The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, urged Iran today, Tuesday, to take "concrete actions" to "accelerate" negotiations regarding Tehran's nuclear program. In reference to a "slowdown in the implementation" of commitments made by Iran, Grossi emphasized during the "International Conference on Nuclear Science and Technology" in Isfahan, central Iran, that his discussions with Iranian authorities focused on "concrete and practical measures that can be implemented to speed up this process." He added during his speech: "We need to propose concrete measures that help us move closer to the solutions we all need." Grossi described the talks he had on Monday in Tehran with Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and then on Tuesday in Isfahan with the head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization, Mohammad Eslami, as "important." He clarified that there is no need to establish a new action plan as the document signed in March 2023 during his previous visit to Iran "remains in effect."
