Title: Israel Enhances Air Defense Amid Iranian Threats

Amid threats from Tehran to respond decisively to the Israeli attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, the Israeli military announced today, Wednesday, the enhancement of its air defense systems "in light of the assessment of the situation." The Israeli army stated, "As part of the situation assessment in the Israel Defense Forces, it was decided to reinforce and mobilize reservists for the air defense systems." Hebrew media noted a "heightened state of alert following the Iranian threats," indicating "assessments in the security apparatus that Iran would respond to the attack on the consulate through its proxy organizations." It was reported that "there has been a state of readiness in the air force and a state of preparedness at all Israeli embassies around the world."

These developments come after the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced last Monday the deaths of seven of its personnel, including two senior advisors, in an Israeli airstrike targeting the Iranian consulate building in Damascus, with Tehran stating that "this attack is a violation of all international agreements." In this context, Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei confirmed that "the malicious entity will be punished, and we will make them regret this crime and others." Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi emphasized that "this cowardly crime will definitely not go unanswered."
