Arsenal Deepens Bournemouth's Wounds with a 4-0 Victory in the Premier League

Arsenal maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a 4-0 victory over struggling Bournemouth on Saturday in the English Premier League, thanks to goals from Kai Havertz, who opened his scoring account with the London team, Bukayo Saka, Martin Ødegaard, and Ben White. Coach Mikel Arteta's team climbed to second place with 17 points, trailing behind defending champions Manchester City, who lost away to Wolverhampton. Bournemouth, still winless, fell into the relegation zone in 18th place with three points from seven matches.

The match was one-sided, dominated by Arsenal, despite a promising start from Bournemouth in the opening minutes as they put their opponents under pressure. However, the breakthrough came for Arsenal in the 17th minute when Ødegaard unlocked the defense with a brilliant cross that Gabriel Jesus attempted to head into the net from a tight angle, but his effort hit the crossbar and rebounded to Saka, who headed the ball into the net.

Ødegaard doubled his team's lead with a penalty before the end of the first half, awarded by the referee for a foul committed by Max Aarons against Eddie Nketiah. Calmly, the Norwegian deceived the goalkeeper and placed the ball into the bottom corner.

Six minutes into the second half, Ødegaard earned another penalty after being fouled by Ryan Christie. Saka and Ødegaard, the team's designated penalty takers, decided to give Havertz the chance, who scored his first goal for Arsenal since joining for £65 million ($79.28 million).

Despite Bournemouth's goalkeeper Neto denying Emile Smith Rowe twice from scoring, he could not stop a quick header by White in stoppage time.
