Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappé continues to dodge media questions amid the buzz surrounding his potential move to Real Madrid as a free transfer next summer. In a press conference on Monday before France's friendly match against Chile on Tuesday, Mbappé stated, "I played against Sociedad in the Round of 16, and we will face Barcelona in the quarter-finals, and perhaps Atlético Madrid in the semi-finals of the Champions League." He added, "So that's what Tchouaméni meant when he said the Spaniards will see who I am."
Tchouaméni, a Real Madrid player, had stated in a video on the French channel "Téléfoot" yesterday, "The Spaniards know who Kylian Mbappé is as a football player, but when they truly see him every day, they will realize his greatness as a player."
Mbappé confirmed that he always looks forward to starting in matches, saying, "I want to be ready all the time because this way, you become one of the best players in the world." Nonetheless, the Parisian star remarked, "Of course, I want to play even if the coach puts me on the bench."
In another context, Mbappé mentioned, "I accept the boos directed at me in tomorrow's match," which is set to take place at the Vélodrome Stadium, the stronghold of Marseille, PSG's traditional rival. He concluded his remarks, "I will not change my style of play, and if they do not boo me, it will be a pleasant surprise."
