The reference Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani announced today, Friday, that tomorrow, Saturday, is the first day of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah and that Monday, June 17, is the first day of Eid al-Adha. His office in Najaf Ashraf stated in a statement received by "Baghdad Today": "We announce that tomorrow, Saturday, is the first day of the holy month of Dhu al-Hijjah for the year 1445 AH, making June 17 of this month the first day of the blessed Eid al-Adha."
