The Ukrainian Ministry of Agriculture reported today, Tuesday, that "winter grain crops have benefited from favorable conditions between December of last year and February of this year, and most crops appear to be in good or satisfactory condition as of March 15." It stated in a statement: "According to scientists, with the arrival of spring, six to ten percent of the total crops will be in a weak and fragile state, which is within normal limits." Ukrainian farmers have sown 4.4 million hectares of winter wheat, 468 thousand hectares of winter barley, and 1.44 million hectares of winter rapeseed for the 2024 season. Winter wheat accounts for about 95 percent of Ukraine's total wheat production.
