This morning, Thursday, the Israeli army detonated the specialized building in Al-Shifa Hospital in western Gaza City. Activists issued urgent calls to the Red Cross, civil defense, and international organizations to head to the vicinity of Al-Shifa Hospital to rescue displaced families trapped inside. The Israeli army announced today that it had killed over 50 Palestinian militants in the past day during battles in the area around Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza, while Palestinian sources reported that 9 members of one family were killed in an Israeli bombardment of their home in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.
"It was reported that over 50 terrorists were eliminated during the exchange of fire over the past day. The infrastructure of the terrorists and weapons storage facilities have been located. Since the operation began, over 140 terrorists have been eliminated in the area of the hospital," the army stated.
In another report, Palestinian media noted that 9 Palestinians were killed and many others went missing under the rubble following an Israeli strike that targeted the home of the Abu Al-Arabi family in the new camp west of Nuseirat in central Gaza. Activists posted a video on social media showing the retrieval of several bodies from the rubble of the Al-Habbash family's home in Nuseirat, which was bombed by the Israeli army on Wednesday.
This comes as the war in the Gaza Strip enters its 167th day, with Israeli forces continuing to target residential areas, particularly in the central Gaza region.
