The Lebanese Press Syndicate announced in a statement that "on the occasion of the Hijri New Year, newspapers will cease operations on Sunday, July 7, 2024, in accordance with the decision of the councils of the Press and Editors Syndicates and the unions of printing workers and distribution companies, as well as the Graphic Designers Syndicate in Lebanon."
