The official spokesperson for the presidency stated that the meeting reviewed the latest developments in joint efforts to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and exchange hostages and detainees. It was agreed to intensify these efforts during the current phase, and the meeting also discussed Egypt's efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza. In this regard, President Sisi emphasized the importance of international cooperation to remove obstacles to humanitarian aid delivery, the necessity of ending the war in the region, preventing the expansion of the conflict, and moving forward with the implementation of the two-state solution. For his part, the U.S. Secretary of State expressed the U.S. administration's appreciation for Egypt's continuous efforts on both the political and humanitarian fronts, stressing their commitment to ongoing collaboration and coordination between the two countries to restore security and peace in the region. The spokesperson also noted that the meeting affirmed the strength of the Egyptian-American strategic partnership, and both sides were committed to continuing joint coordination on various topics and issues.
