Iraqi President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid approved several laws today, Thursday, including the 2024 budget tables. The media office of the Presidency stated in a statement that "President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid has approved several draft laws, including the tables of the Federal General Budget Law for the year 2024, the first amendment to the Anti-Prostitution and Sexual Deviance Law, the law extending the work of the Independent High Electoral Commission, and the first amendment to the Law on the Regulation of Agricultural Land Leasing and the Granting of Dispositional Rights to Agricultural and Veterinary Graduates."
The statement added that "the laws have been sent for publication in the Iraqi Official Gazette after being approved by the President to come into effect." The Presidency confirmed its commitment to "supporting legislation and laws that serve the interests of the country and its citizens, by approving the laws passed by the House of Representatives, as well as by proposing draft laws from the Presidency to the House for discussion and approval."
