The Lebanese Automobile and Touring Club (ATCL) is organizing the 38th Spring Rally on Saturday and Sunday, May 6 and 7, 2023, marking a significant two-day event after previous editions were limited to one day. This race is part of the first round of the Lebanese Rally Championship for the current year.
Registration is ongoing at the rally office affiliated with the organizing club in Kaslik and will close at 4:30 PM on Tuesday, May 2. The club will announce the names of participants (drivers and co-drivers) on Thursday afternoon, May 4. Technical inspections and administrative checks will take place on Friday, May 5, at the headquarters of the organizing club.
The total distance for the rally is 280.29 km, of which 101.14 km consists of six special speed stages located in the regions of Kesrouan and Jbeil.
Racers will start on Saturday, May 6, from the organizing club at 5 PM, kicking off with the first exhibition stage. The following are the details of the six special stages:
*Saturday, May 6: The first special speed stage is 2.52 km long. This stage will take place within the Lebanese Automobile and Touring Club starting at 5 PM. Cars will then proceed to Adma, reaching the "LBCI" parking lot (Adma) to conclude the first section, starting at 5:33 PM, and will remain parked until the second section begins on Sunday, May 7, at 7:30 AM. The club will be closed on Saturday, May 6, from 12 PM to 10 PM.
On Sunday, May 7, five special speed stages will take place as follows:
- The second and fourth special speed stages: 17.36 km – Blat – Torzaya: This stage starts from Blat and rises towards Bsharri, Zabdine, Bir al-Hait, then heads towards the fortifications towards Farhat al-Saqi, reaching Torzaya. This road will be closed on Sunday, May 7, from 6:53 AM to 9:23 AM, with a second closure from 10:18 AM to 12:48 PM.
- The third, fifth, and sixth special speed stages: 21.30 km – Haboub – Bentael: This stage starts from Haboub rising towards Fadar al-Tahita, Fadar al-Fawqa, Mazraat al-Ayn, Bshtlida, Hjoula, Birkah Hajoula, Jbarta reaching Bentael. This road will be closed from 7:46 AM to 10:16 AM, with a second closure from 11:11 AM to 1:41 PM and from 1:43 PM to 4:13 PM.
The gathering point and service area will be located at the LBCI parking lot in Adma on Saturday from 2 PM until Sunday, May 7, at 4 PM, with the rally control center at the organizing club.
The first car is expected to enter the Lebanese Automobile and Touring Club headquarters in Kaslik, concluding the 38th Spring Rally at 4:35 PM, with the awards ceremony scheduled for 5 PM.
