Archaeologists have discovered the ruins of a lost ancient settlement, over 2200 years old, south of Moscow, Russia. This ancient settlement, dating back to the 3rd and 4th centuries BC from the early Iron Age, is located on the right bank of the Sukhaia Voronka River near the Russian city of Tula. It covers an area of 55 by 25 meters and is surrounded by impressive fortifications that have preserved their shape to this day, consisting of three earthen walls approximately 2 meters high and three ditches reaching a depth of 1.5 meters. Archaeologists also found a copper coin weighing 1.98 grams minted in Pantikapaion between 275 and 245 BC at this settlement.
