Lebanon will face the Bahamas, a team filled with American basketball stars, in the next round on Saturday, July 7.
Lebanese players delivered a remarkable performance that showcased the strength of Lebanese basketball against their African counterparts, noting that Angola is one of the prominent teams in the sport globally. The Lebanon team excelled in the first two quarters, finishing the first half with a score of (35-24) in their favor. Angola rallied in the third quarter, gradually reducing the deficit and ultimately winning that quarter by one point (45-44).
In the final quarter, the Lebanese players regained their momentum and surged ahead significantly, leading by as much as 9 points (67-58) before a thrilling finish saw Angola cut the lead to two points (70-72) in the last seconds of the game. However, the Lebanese managed to secure the victory with a final score of (74-70).
