Israeli Channel 13 reported that the Israeli Security Cabinet will meet this coming Sunday to discuss the escalation on the northern front. The Israeli government stated that "Lebanon and Hezbollah bear full responsibility for the security deterioration at the border," adding that "we will restore security on the northern border through diplomacy or otherwise."
This comes as Hezbollah launched approximately 150 rockets and drones toward Israel in less than 40 minutes this afternoon, resulting in wildfires in open areas. The Israeli military reported that it "detected 40 rocket projectiles fired from southern Lebanon toward Galilee and the Golan Heights."
Hezbollah announced that it targeted "the monastery site with heavy machine guns and artillery shells, successfully hitting it." In response, Israeli warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes targeting areas around Marjeyoun near Dabain and Mount Rayhan. Additionally, a large fire broke out on Mount Bourashid in Jezzine due to an air raid targeting the vicinity of Al-Qatrani.
