Disclosure of Mohamed Salah's Injury Nature

Mohamed El-Eala, the doctor of the Egyptian national team, revealed the main reason for the exit of Mohamed Salah, the captain of the Pharaohs, from the match against Ghana in the second round of the group stage of the Africa Cup of Nations. Salah sustained an injury in the 45th minute after complaining of pain in his hamstring, leading Portuguese coach Rui Vitória to substitute Mustafa Fathy in his place.

El-Eala stated in comments to the media center of the Egyptian Football Association that the pain in the hamstring was the reason for Salah's substitution, adding: "Mohamed will undergo medical examinations to determine his status for the match against Cape Verde."

Egypt's task of reaching the Round of 16 in the Africa Cup of Nations was complicated by their 2-2 draw with Ghana in the second round of group stage matches. Egypt's points total rose to two after their 2-2 draw with Mozambique in the first round, placing them in second position, while Ghana earned their first point in the tournament after losing 1-2 in the opening round against Cape Verde.
