The Presidency of the Council of Ministers announced today, Thursday, that "in accordance with Decree No. 15215 dated 27/9/2005 and its amendments, particularly Decree No. 8007 dated 23/7/2021, a national mourning will be declared on Sunday, August 4, 2024, in commemoration of the tragedy of the Beirut port explosion. Flags will be flown at half-mast in public administrations, public institutions, and municipalities. Regular programming on radio and television stations will be adjusted in line with this painful anniversary, in solidarity with the families of the martyrs and the wounded and their families."
