However, the management of Cienciano did not wait for the investigation results and announced on Tuesday that they have officially terminated the player's contract, emphasizing their refusal of all forms of violence.
In response, Cueva issued an official statement defending himself, explaining that he has been suffering from severe depression since December 2023 and calling on the investigating authorities to reveal the complete truth to the public.
