Berri Comments on Southern Events in Call with Blaschar

The President of the Parliament, Nabih Berri, monitored the developments on the ground in the south. To this end, President Berri received a call from the United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert. During the call, Berri affirmed that Lebanon, which has faced continuous Israeli aggression for more than nine months, particularly in its southern border villages, has seen the Israeli military using internationally banned weapons (white phosphorus) against civilians, agricultural lands, medical teams, and journalists. Despite these blatant Israeli violations of the provisions of Resolution 1701, Lebanon and its resistance remain committed to this resolution and the rules of engagement by not targeting civilians. The denial by the resistance of today's events in the town of Majdal Shams in the occupied Syrian Golan clearly confirms this commitment and Lebanon's lack of responsibility for what occurred.
