The French Football Federation announced today, Thursday, that the national team will play two friendly matches against Wales and Bulgaria in early June as part of its preparations for the 2021 UEFA European Championship. France will face Wales on June 2 in Nice before meeting Bulgaria in Paris on June 8.

France is scheduled to play its first official match in the European Championship on June 14 in Munich against Germany. The last international matches France played were in March during the qualifying rounds for the 2022 World Cup, where they drew with Ukraine 1-1, defeated Kazakhstan 2-0, and won against Bosnia and Herzegovina 1-0.
