Syrian actress Dima Qandalaft responded to Slaf Foukhri's statement regarding her refusal to participate in the series "Al Hayba."
During her appearance on the show "MBC Trending," Dima Qandalaft stated that everyone is free to make choices that suit their personalities. She added, "It might not be her place; I see the show 'Who Are You?' as my place. Everyone is free to choose where they see themselves fitting and what fulfills them, and I see it as personal freedom." She clarified that there is no personal conflict between them, expressing her pride in Slaf as a Syrian Arab star, and noted that they share a good friendship.
Slaf Foukhri had stirred controversy in a radio interview by stating that director Samer Barqawi had previously offered her a role in the series "Shababik," which she declined. She reaffirmed that if offered a role in "Al Hayba," she would also refuse, citing that the work does not suit her and is not her style, despite acknowledging its significant success.
It is noteworthy that "Al Hayba: The Return," produced by Sabbah Brothers, stars Mona Waseef, Taim Hasan, Dima Qandalaft, Adel Karam, Abdo Shahin, Rosina Ladhakani, Owais Mukhalleti, Nazem Issa, Saeed Sarhan, among others. The story revolves around Jabal's return to life following an assassination attempt, the loss of his wife and son, as he attempts to uncover the perpetrators, with events escalating as he discovers shocking secrets, including a revenge plot by the character Rania Imran, played by Dima, against Jabal's family after they killed her father in a previous season.
