German coach Jürgen Klopp of Liverpool spoke in a press interview with British network "Sky Sports" today, Sunday, about the issue of extending the contract of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah with the "Reds." Klopp stated that discussions about extending Salah's contract are going well, but he is "not interested," saying: "Is Salah renewing with Liverpool? I am not concerned about the pace of the talks. We are having really good negotiations with him, and I am not interested in what will happen." The German coach added: "I really want Mohamed Salah to renew with Liverpool, but when? I don't care much." Salah's current contract with the "Reds" ends in the summer of 2023, and many reports claim that the delay in extending the Egyptian star's contract is due to his demand for a huge salary to continue at "Anfield." Salah is currently leading the Premier League's top scorers list with 15 goals, six goals ahead of his nearest rival, Jamie Vardy.
