Sisi Inaugurates the Largest Water Treatment Plant in the World

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi will inaugurate on Monday the wastewater treatment plant at Bahr al-Baqar, which is considered the largest of its kind in the world. The project costs 20 billion Egyptian pounds and has a production capacity of 5.6 million cubic meters of treated water per day. This amount of water will be transported to the lands of North Sinai to contribute to the reclamation of 400,000 acres as part of the national project for the development of Sinai and to enhance the optimal use of the state's water resources.
