The General Administration for the Investigation of Morality in Egypt has arrested the famous blogger Hadeer Abdelrazek from her apartment in one of Cairo's residential compounds, accused of posting videos that incite debauchery and immorality. Security forces monitored Hadeer Abdelrazek's publication of a large number of videos on social media platforms including TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram, in which she incited vice and immorality.
The accused was apprehended inside her apartment, and her mobile phone was confiscated in preparation for investigation. Necessary legal procedures have been initiated regarding her case. It is noteworthy that an Egyptian lawyer filed a complaint with the Public Prosecutor against the blogger, accusing her of inciting immorality and undermining societal values.
The lawyer stated in his complaint that these acts fall under the Anti-Morality Law No. 10 of 1961 and Article 269 of the Penal Code, related to the accusations of inciting immorality and publishing unethical content online, as reported by the news site "Cairo 24." The lawyer further indicated that he filed his complaint due to a violation under the category of cybercrime according to the Cybercrime Law for undermining family principles and societal values, as well as creating an account to facilitate the commission of a crime, with penalties reaching up to 5 years in prison and probation.
