The cryptocurrency "Ethereum," the second most valuable digital currency in the world, has risen by approximately 10% in the past 24 hours, reaching an all-time high of about $4,350. According to the latest data published by Coinmarketcap, Ethereum now has a market value exceeding $500 billion, making it the second cryptocurrency in the world to reach this market cap. Ethereum has now surpassed the value of the world's leading investment bank, JPMorgan, which currently has a market cap of around $480 billion.
Ethereum has seen an increase since the beginning of 2021, surpassing the market cap of Bank of America and PayPal earlier this year. Major stakeholders in Ethereum have been active over the past week, with this surge in activity, which began on May 3, significantly contributing to the rise to the $4,200 level that the cryptocurrency broke, according to analytics firm Santiment on Twitter. Currently, Ethereum dominates 19.6% of the cryptocurrency market, its highest level ever. The latest surge in Ethereum's prices has made Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum, one of the youngest billionaires in the cryptocurrency world, with his holdings approaching nearly $1.4 billion in value.
