Saudi Arabia Lifts Travel Restrictions with the UAE

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced the lifting of travel restrictions with the United Arab Emirates. A responsible source in the Saudi Ministry of Interior stated that, in reference to previous announcements regarding the suspension of travel to and from several countries, and based on the continuous monitoring of the epidemiological situation both locally and globally, as well as any epidemic risks in any of the countries, and based on what has been reported by the relevant health authorities regarding developments in the COVID-19 pandemic and the stability of the epidemiological situation in all countries, it has been decided to halt the suspension of entry into the Kingdom through land, sea, and air ports, starting from 11:00 AM on Wednesday, 1 Safar 1443 H, corresponding to September 8, 2021, from the following three countries: the United Arab Emirates, the Republic of South Africa, and the Republic of Argentina, and to allow citizens to travel to the mentioned countries. The source emphasized the importance of adhering to all precautionary measures and safety protocols in place. It was clarified that all procedures and measures are subject to continuous evaluation by the relevant health authorities in the Kingdom, depending on developments in the global epidemiological situation.
