AC Milan has signed Chelsea's center-back Fikayo Tomori on loan until the end of the current season, with an option for a permanent transfer.
Milan stated in a release: "AC Milan is pleased to announce the signing of Fikayo Tomori on loan from Chelsea until the end of the season." It added, "The defender has signed a contract until June 30, 2021, with an option for a permanent purchase."
Tomori, 23, will wear the number 23 shirt with his new team. He expressed: "I am honored to have this opportunity to fight for this great club; I can't wait to show myself on the pitch."
Notably, Milan currently leads the Serie A standings with 43 points, three points ahead of their city rivals, Inter Milan, who occupy second place, after 18 rounds of "calcio."
