In this match, Al Ahly turned the tables on their guests, winning a thrilling game (3-2) on Thursday evening. The Arab Contractors finished the first half leading by two goals scored by Basem Ali and Seif El-Din El-Geziri in the 38th and 44th minutes. However, Al Ahly scored three goals in the second half through Taher Mohamed Taher, Mohamed Sherif, and Mohamed Magdi Afsha in the 60th, 70th, and 80th minutes, respectively. Notably, with this result, Al Ahly raised their points to 20, temporarily topping the league table, one point ahead of their rival Zamalek, who has played one match less, while the Arab Contractors remained at 7 points in twelfth place.
